Two Ice Skating Rinks Opening in Prague Center

--

Nothing quite brings in the holiday season like the opening of outdoor ice skating rinks in the center of town. In Prague, two ice skating rinks are opening in the Old Town, both surrounded by beauty. Without doubt, both offer an experience in both history and holiday spirit.

altThe more popular rink is located at Ovocny Trh, tucked behind the Estates Theatre, the famous building in which Mozart premiered his immortal opera "Don Giovanni", which he dedicated to the "Good People of Prague." Ice skating at this rink is free from December 5, 2011, with skate rentals for just 50Kc. Every night, colored lights will glow above, while the historic buildings form a magical backdrop.

Another option for ice skating is at Na Frantisku, located on Kozi street in Old Town. This rink is open starting November 19th, and offers a perfect venue for high-quality ice skating. Although this rink isn't free, it may be worth the 50Kc to enjoy skating in a large and highly enjoyable atmosphere. Learn more about their opening hours and pricing on their website.
