Tuition is paid in two instalments: a $500 deposit due two months prior to the beginning of the program, and the remainder due one month prior. Tuition deposits and fees are generally non-refundable, except in extenuating circumstances, to be determined by the program director on a case-by-case basis.

The UPCES Experience

  • Enrollment at Charles University, Faculty of Humanities

UPCES Tuition does not include:

  • Housing in Prague. UPCES students stay in apartments with other students and pay rent independently. Please see the Housing page for more information.
  • Airfare to and from Prague.

Dates

Fall Semester typically runs from early September through mid-December. The Spring Semester typically runs from early February through mid-May, with a one-week semester break. Please check our Academic Calendar for the actual dates of each upcoming semester. UPCES will send a tuition invoice approximately 3 months before the start of the semester. All tuition payments will be made to the CERGE-EI Foundation in New York at this address:

Tuition can be paid individually or arranged with each university in accordance with their payment standards. Please contact the UPCES Office for more information. Tuition fees are set yearly by the CERGE-EI Executive and Supervisory Committee.
