Petr Mucha, Ph.D.
Petr Mucha has taught religious and cultural studies at New York University and Charles University in Prague, and at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. His academic work focuses primarily on the role of religion in society, interreligious dialogue, and European studies. Mucha serves on the program board of the Forum 2000 Foundation, which organizes world conferences in Prague and continues the humanistic legacy of President Václav Havel, particularly in the field of human rights. He also facilitates an interfaith project in cooperation with Tomáš Halík, the Templeton Prize laureate. Petr Mucha studied religious studies, sociology, theology, history and geography at Charles University in Prague and at universities in Canada (Vancouver) and Austria (Vienna). He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of South Bohemia.
