Petr Mucha, M.A., Ph.D.c.

Petr Mucha has taught religious and cultural studies at New York University Prague, Charles University and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. His academic work focuses primarily on the role of religion in society, interfaith dialogue and European studies.

Mucha serves in the program council of the Forum 2000 foundation, which continues the legacy of President Václav Havel and organizes global conferences in Prague. He also facilitates an interfaith project in cooperation with Tomáš Halík, the Templeton Prize laureate.

Petr Mucha studied at Charles University in Prague and at universities in Vancouver (Canada) and Vienna (Austria). Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Bohemia.

As a youth leader, he was involved in a dissent movement and in the Velvet Revolution against the communist regime.
