A new photo album on the UPCES Facebook page displays photos of various flats that UPCES students have commonly rented in past semesters. These flats are offered by trusted real estate agencies and are specifically prepared for UPCES students. Almost all flats have multiple bedrooms (usually with two beds), a living room, full kitchen, and full bathroom. Every flat comes fully furnished with styles ranging from classic European to modern. The pictures are meant to show the standard of quality in each UPCES flat, although the flats pictured will not necessarily be offered each semester.

In total, there are six flats pictured (in four different buildings). These flats are offered through "Short Term Rentals" (www.shortterm.cz), one of four real estate agencies used by UPCES.

The Housing Process

More information on how UPCES students locate flats is available on the housing page. For a quick summary, here is the step-by-step process:

  • UPCES students stay in reserved rooms in the Hotel Prokopka upon arrival in Prague*

  • Students meet Prague realtors to learn about UPCES pre-approved flats across the city**

  • Featured flats offer a wide variety of location, size, and price

  • All flats are fully furnished and include internet connection, kitchenware, bedding, towels, and household appliances

  • Students identify desirable flats and request viewing appointments

  • UPCES Program Managers can attend viewings and answer any questions

  • UPCES students typically move into ideal flats located around the center of Prague within a few days of arrival

  • Students sign a contract for their exact length of stay and can move in immediately

  • Students are expected to take care of their flats, pay rent every month, and notify UPCES of any issues
